Small bathroom space is usually found in apartments and also in guest bathrooms. It’s because we all want a bathroom that looks spacious, and fortunately, there are 5 tips for making a small bathroom look bigger that do not need to be demolished. However, if you also want to buy new bathroom vanities, just check out the bathroom vanity buying guide.
1. Brighten the room
We must be able to design the bathroom so that as much as possible light can enter because a bright bathroom will certainly look wider than a dark bathroom.
Wall color: the selection of colors for wall and ceiling paint with bright and matching colors will make the bathroom look twice as large. Conversely, if you use different colors on each side it will make the spacing effect look smaller.
Windows: if your bathroom has a window, use a thin curtain to maximize the incoming light.
Lighting: we can install additional lights on the wall or on the bathroom ceiling to get more intensity of light in the room.
2. Add a mirror
Install a mirror in your bathroom with a mirror that is bigger and more than what you normally do in there. The reflection of light will make the room becomes brighter, so it feels more spacious and bigger.
3. Save place to save
We should be able to make a practical place to store so that we are easy when cleaning the bathroom, and reduce the protruding parts on the wall because it will make the bathroom look cramped. Install a storage rack and medicine cabinet instead.
4. Position the curtain
Curtains in the bathroom can we put more up to the ceiling to pull the eye up & make its ceiling appear higher, making the illusion of a more spacious room. The same applies to any window treatment. Lifting the thin curtain panel to its ceiling also makes the impression of a bigger window, which makes the small bathroom looks wider.
5. Install the sliding door
A swinging door may take half of the room, and it is depending on how small space is. Sliding granary door or wall pockets will not disturb your limited bathroom space.
